GT Bicycles was founded by Gary Turner in 1972, who wanted to build a much better BMX frame to race on, as the offerings at the time simply weren’t up to much.
His quality efforts were quickly noticed and his brand became synonymous with well built, great value and great handling bikes.
As mountain biking exploded in the 1980’s he was there to quickly react to the demand on this radical new pursuit and was one of the pioneering brands.
Over the years, some of the best riders in history have been on board GT Bikes, winning countless races and world titles. The brand now is true to its roots and offers a range of quality bikes with years of development behind them at affordable prices. The Avalanche and Aggressor bikes are ranges that have existed for years and have simply got better with age. Everyone should have a GT at some point in their lives!
